Amazon and Royal Mail voted most reliable delivery companies

A recent survey asked customers to rank delivery services, with Amazon taking the lead at 89% satisfaction and DHL coming in last with a mediocre 64% satisfaction.

As we approach Christmas, delivery companies battle to cope with high demands whilst maintaining a good service. Though not every online retail destination allows consumers to choose shipping companies specifically, some offer several options.

Which.co.uk asked 3,144 shoppers in the UK during September 2022 about their delivery experiences in 2022 and the percentage of satisfied customers is as follows:

Amazon - 89%
Royal Mail - 86%
DPD - 79%
Evri (formerly known as Hermes) - 76%
FedEx - 74%
Yodel - 72%
UPS - 70%
Parcelforce - 70%
DHL - 64%
The research also revealed that customers are often confused about missing and damaged parcels. If deliveries don’t go to plan, customers have the right to contact the retailer to resolve issues, as their contract is with the place of purchase, not the courier.

If an order arrives damaged or faulty, shoppers have a right to refuse it and get a refund, repair, or replacement. In addition, if customers pay extra for special delivery and the order arrives after agreed, they are entitled to claim back the extra delivery cost.

Due to the lack of confidence in courier services, many consumers are now opting for pick-up options with companies such as InPost, which has now deployed 4,000 locker units across the UK.

Pointless research it seems to me, Amazon a completely different business to evri dpd and royal mail as they are a retailer and deliver stuff they sell, and RM deliver letters( well sometimes) which no one else does, it's just pointless comparing them

Its chalk and cheese. Amazon can dump them anywhere, we can't.

Also when we safely deliver our Amazon packets... Guess what... Amazon get the praise for that, not us.!
