We all should be in solidarity against Royal Mail. But let's look at the bigger picture there's a small minority out there who have with held there labour over the past months but are know seriously struggling financially. Come next year they could lose there homes and and upto there eyeballs in debt. With no financial help off our Union I will not begrudge any postman for crossing a picket line over the next two days to save there family.
Yes I will support them at work because I don't want to see a fellow colleague struggling to put a roof and food on the table for there family
It's all down to a Mexican Stand off between Royal Mail and the CWU. So please come to some compromise and find a middle ground

does not change the fact they are strike breakers no matter how you look at it - shafting their workmates !

Your right never had confidence in the Union but I pay my dues and support them.
Time will tell if they have cocked this up.
Please explain how they may have cocked this Up If you are up against an employer that won't budge at all and are willing to sacrifice Christmas with the intent of destroying there own company there's really not much more the union could have done or can do.

You mean healing wounds!!
Those going in all of a sudden for these 2 days are the worst! Just going in for the hope of begging their final tips from their customers. Wonder what those customers actually think of them when they see them going round and knowing that their colleagues are on strike.
Embarrassing!!!

What exactly has been happening with the strike fund? Does anyone know people who have succesfully had access to it? Hearing you have to give them your bank statements to prove your struggling seems awful and degrading if its true. Or do we even know how much is in it? I cant see the public donating much to it during the COL crisis as it is

Time will tell alright, if they cock this one up its game over for ALL of us, including the union. We cannot afford to lose this battle under ANY circumstances. God forbid.
The way I see it, Royal Mail is going to s**t. Which was sort of inevitable post privatisation.
Anybody with any sense will be looking to jump ship. I've decided to leave, most capable workers will too, Royal Mail will haemorrhage workers going forward, it's the beginning of the end. They will really struggle to recruit and retain staff going forward, service levels will s**t the bed, and the public will bemoan another failed privatisation, it'll be more expensive for a shittier service. Rotten management from top to bottom.
The CWU are in a no win situation. I agree with them on principle, however, the capitalists that are running the company are operating in an environment where the odds are heavily stacked against us.
My advice, now is the time to get another job. Strikes are pretty much irrelevant at this point. It's like pissing in the wind.

You’ve had no confidence in the union since 2013
I don't have much confidence in his spelling or punctuation after reading that.
