We have tracked parcels that have been scanned into the office last week still sitting there waiting to be delivered. Lost track of which day they came in. But I know one thing, they won't be delivered for Christmas.

Also a colleague a few frames up from mine still has the Black Friday door to doors sitting in their frame :chuckle

If the rumour about DOs not delivering any letters next week is true and that includes MCs not processing them, then when we do process them, most will end up going as manual as they're no way that we'd be able to sequence 5 days worth of letters and once Xmas pressure is over, we won't be allowed to hold any mech letters back. Most likely the best we'll be able to do will be walk sort, even with all IMPs/iLSMs in use for sequencing it'd be physically impossible to sequence 5 days worth of letters
Im surprised youve got the space to store them all.

Since overtime reinstated last week people have been busting their balls , that includes strikers coming in early and getting as much OT as possible , our backog is clearing pretty quick, we will easily be clear in time for the next strikes and rinse and repeat. Was dropping off weeks worth of letters today was hectic

My card with stamps arrived today in a 'sorry it's damaged' bag, the card was fine but no stamps, can't help but imagine a manager ripping it open to take them out as a petty punishment

No stamps for me either. The backlog that was hiding in plain sight yesterday has now disappeared. I very much doubt it was processed on site, but I did hear a rumour that ninety yorks were dispatched to a mystery destination, possibly the black hole of Warrington. Traffic seemed lighter than I would have expected, but we are past the final posting day for Christmas mail, so maybe that is the reason. Morale being what it is, I cant say anyone was over-exerting themselves to save what is left of Christmas.

I’ve got no stamps yet either.
I’ve also got a parcel that’s meant to be 48 tracked. Reached the Parcel hub on 9/12. Maybe they know I’m a Postie.

Very quiet for most of us tonight. Had to work very hard at looking like I was doing something. But PSM was still sorting 1C and T24 at time of late dispatch, and tens of yorks of ejects which I'm told the night shift will have to take care of.
