Rossco the CWU are not getting involved in their revision plans. Royal Mail will have to introduce revisions without agreement. Remember these revisions will take out 10 thousand full time equivalents. This is the biggest revision program Royal Mail have ever done.

The vast majority of these revisions will cause the unit to collapse. These revisions go much further than the structural revision programs and they were disasters.

Royal Mail revision program will fail and so will their financial recovery plan unless they reach an agreement with the CWU.

Units will not collapse they will just fail the USO even more than they are doing now and as long as they are making the savings they want they won’t care one iota that they are failing it.

And in the meantime we'll be stuck right at the sharp end of another shitshow of a clusterfuck revision with all the extra stress involved.

Further to the update this afternoon, we can confirm that within hours of receiving our letter, Royal Mail Group have rejected our attempt to resolve the dispute.

The strikes planned for 23/24 December will go ahead.

We remain available for further talks facilitated by ACAS

Why did they reveal the 1.7billion ? What's their motive there?

I am probably last to defend this lying company but this has been often misinterpreted and part of the 1.7bn is the overdraft available to RM.
I might be wrong but this would make sense and this is what royal mail claims. I seriously doubt they would have available cash in excess of 1.5bn £. It doesn't change the fact they probably could afford to meet our pay demands as well as making further concessions.
