How does PILON work as opposed to working 12 weeks notice? Surely it makes sense for royal mail if you had to actualy do some work for 12 weeks instead of paying you to not work?

The end of March has been mentioned as the finish date so that is roughly 12 weeks.

I think they're still in the planning stage of our revision, so we haven't been given any more details about VR's yet.

Have the revisions got to be agreed before Xmas ?It seems from what people are saying v r’s have to be completed in 12 weeks to the end of March.

I think RM's plan is that revisions will be implemented by the end of the financial year. So they have 3 months or so to achieve that.

Some of those revisions may well be more or less done on paper, and anyone getting VR in those offices will have probably been told by now. Those people will probably be working their 12 weeks notice.

Other revisions may still be in the planning stage and anyone getting VR might not be told until sometime in January. In which case, they might have to work some notice and receive some PILON.

The preference exercise tile did say all the paperwork should be signed by the 31st January.

Well...based on this poll half the offices are short staffed therefore no VR at those offices.... which I am not surprised about. My large Mail Centre is 30% understaffed.

Nobody has yet to confirm that they have signed on the dotted line and therefore are 100% leaving with VR yet.

Two weeks ago we were briefed by a manager that no one in our office was getting vr due to vacancies we carry. Today we get another briefing that 9 staff have now been offered it. Seems to be on seniority.
