Yes just do your hours don’t come in early and make sure you take your break, then just cut off, our place has never seen so many failing. It’s the only way they will realize we’ve had enough, even guys who do ot galore are starting to cut off!

Re: Time to pile it up
Overtime reinstated last week and we were completely clear today. Only strike breakers doing overtime and they hoovered up the piles from last week. Not a good atmosphere with approx half strikers and half selfish gits.

Re: Time to pile it up
Too many in our office working until 5pm. No parcel backlog and even Royal Mail blindly rejecting period of calm/to call off 23rd, 24th strikes won’t be enough for people to stop doing overtime. After Christmas is out the way, they’ll be a big bombshell in the new year. It’s very obvious.
How does it not sink in to people your whole job is going to turn upside down.
Strikes are pointless if we don’t stick together but as usual at Royal Mail no team ethic & everyone for themselves. No more picking kids up from school at 3pm as we will be pounding the streets until 5pm!

Re: Time to pile it up
I doubt there's much parcel backlog anywhere as Royal Mail prioritise parcels.... they will make sure they move enough posties off letters and onto parcels wherever required.SCharles wrote: ↑20 Dec 2022, 18:50Too many in our office working until 5pm. The post on the other hand..... it's piling up.
but this is what Royal Mail want.... us to clear 3 or 4 days mail in one go.... it may be that we can only clear half a round of it, but it's still costing them far less to clear than it would if we weren't striking.
