Totally agree. Same as ofgem, ofwat, oftel. All they do is whatever the government tells them to do. Run by Tory cronies who get a peerage at the end. Utter disgrace.

It was so obvious that the recent strike's and the planned 23/24 strike's would cause mayhem and the backlog would drag into Christmas week and beyond. It's what our strike's were designed to do in order to hopefully make the board take notice and act. Seems they are content to fook us all over, public and work force which we all knew was a possibility. So why are there no strike dates for Christmas week, 28/29 would add to their headache big time. We've built up momentum, got the management in a severe pickle, but now we stop! Why.

I totally agree with what you say but I think the Union need to keep the members on board and I know a lot are feeling the pinch. I think it's paying for Xmas that have driven quite a few over the picket line. Anyway looking at my DO this morning the backlog isn't going anywhere in a hurry and the 23rd and 24th will just compound the situation. RM have still got a big headache to deal with.

I said this to my colleagues today its like covid all over again except we have a lot more manual mail to deal with. RM are happy to see walks fail, they don’t care about QOS, the only difference is that during covid if a walk failed , it would be cleared the next day without fail. Now, walks can see several days with no mail service at least. We’ve been understaffed for the last few years, and I can’t remember the last time we had a 100% walk clearance. It’s obvious the service is being run into the ground on purpose , to support the removal of the USO.

We’ve had nearly three years of excuses first covid and now IA. Our managers we’re even blaming IA when we had that period of no strikes just after the queen died. It’s the fault everyone and everything other than the RM hierarchy and the management tea.

Is that because you have no Rep, or just because the CWU have withdrawn from Cooperation & Negotiation in the workplace? Our Christmas Plan was definately a new level of Incompetent Clusterfuck this year, and a lot of that was because of no Unit Rep input.
