Re: Unpaid absence pay hit
I went home last Monday after work, feeling lousy. Tested positive for Covid. Followed all of the protocols (RM [Dr. Shaun Davis] & NHS advice), informed my manager, sent LTF test results. Checked my payslip on Tuesday night. Only been paid for the Monday (5 hours 51'). They had deducted the Tuesday, the strike days and Friday & Saturday in advance. I have a grievance in with ACAS although RM HR refused to give me an individual grievance number.

Re: Unpaid absence pay hit
Have you put in a grievance(stage 1) to your com as this should be your initial move as he/she can correct this given that Royal Mail have stated that pay should not be deducted if covid was the reason for your absence

Re: Unpaid absence pay hit
Am not surprised HR did not give you a grievance number as this only happened last week. You have to first submit a stage one grievance to your manager, which can be oral. Management then have 14 days to rectify that grievance. If not, you then submit a stage two grievance with HR and receive an individual grievance number.Trumanity wrote: ↑19 Dec 2022, 20:28I went home last Monday after work, feeling lousy. Royal Mail will rebut your claim with ACAS for not following the correct agreed procedure agreed through collective bargaining. Employment Tribunals are a stickler for the rules.

Re: Unpaid absence pay hit
You don't get paid for strike days. Don't quite know what you were expecting? If you were on strike and it wasn't your day off then it will be deducted.Cofipostie1 wrote: ↑19 Dec 2022, 19:35Just had a look at this weeks pay slip not looking good hammered with back claim for strike days anyone else got the same problem![]()
