Insider trading is illegal and if proven a prison sentence awaitsk979aaa wrote: ↑17 Dec 2022, 17:03Well we all know what has been going on this whole thing is orchestrated by the CEO and the Chairman and whole board of Royal Mail to attack the workforce and provoke us all. While they have access to the capital to end this dispute and invest in the future they chose confrontation and don't even want to solve this dispute well you may ask why? Because some billionaire is getting a discount on his shares over the course of the whole of this year by the actions of the whole board of Royal Mail and its CEO. Insider trading bet the CEO and Chairman and the whole board get a big pay off through a bank account in the cayman islands and MOGG gets a slice too!

Whilst insider trading is illegal, I'm not sure that what k979aaa alleges amounts to insider trading as Kretinsky wouldn't be acting on confidential information but rather taking advantage of what is playing out in full public view. Any other investor is able to take a punt on buying RM shares as they fall hoping and expecting that there will be a/ a price recovery and b/ a share split with new shares being issued in an independent GLS.walthmstowman wrote: ↑18 Dec 2022, 17:07Insider trading is illegal and if proven a prison sentence awaitsk979aaa wrote: ↑17 Dec 2022, 17:03Well we all know what has been going on this whole thing is orchestrated by the CEO and the Chairman and whole board of Royal Mail to attack the workforce and provoke us all. There would also be nothing illegal in a/ rewarding the CEO and Chairman a bonus and b/ them having an offshore bank account to receive that money. What would be illegal is if they failed to declare that money and/or pay taxes on it.
But if that takes place it would be an immoral act worthy of public contempt and a parliamentary inquiry. Not that either would help us posties.

Given they've used the term "insider trading" I sense they'd have trouble proving they weren't alleging that was the case, plus if they are going to declare they've got money in an overseas bank account then they may as well have it paid into a UK account.
It could be DK has told the BoD that he wants the union crushed, it at least weakened, before he mounts a takeover of the company and, as the results of such a move, have led to the share price falling.
