Tesco pay their staff on the old contracts £20 per hour for Sundays but the new contracted staff are on the normal rate for doing the same job. This is the way we are going. People seem happy nowadays to ruin their family life for a child’s wage.

A lot of complaints from desperate people.

The energy companies have sent out top up codes to people on a key metre with the governments scheme.

They have very little so cannot heat their homes because these letters are stuck in the system due to the strikes.

So maybe Thompson should have shown a bit of care for his customers and staff. He is responsible for ensuring that his customers get the service that they are paying for.

Sundays is just a continuation of what happened during Covid. All the overtime in my office is hoovered up by early starts, Collections covered by new starts on s**t contracts, Sundays are the only viable OT

That backlog contains medicines and hospital appointments doesn't it?

i'm not desperate to clear the backlog. we are in a very bitter dispute with a contentious employer. unfortunately there are always going to be people caught in the crossfire of all this s**t. but lets not forget this shambles of a board brought all of this on themselves. they have no interest in a resolution to this dispute and only now, after months and months of fighting and disagreements and vicious attacks on its own employees, do they now seem to be stirring. let them stew in it. they caused it. sack them lot of them. they've no idea how to run this business.

I know someone moaning about being forced to work Sundays despite the whole Sunday thing being just a diversionary tactic by RM; we do not have the volumes for all duties to be changed to accommodate Sunday working.

Anyhow, this person actually works 1 Sunday in 2 already but said that was a choice

I have seen at least 3 different RM vans in my neighborhood this morning.

Most people don't like a messy office or the backlogs - why do we bother throwing money away on Strikes?

Maybe they have supported the strike action for the last god knows how many months, and are now forced to work Sundays to feed their families or heat their houses. Be thankful that you aren’t that desperate I guess. It isn’t a strike day the last time I checked.

We have a few in our office gone in, but too be honest it’s not going to make a dent in the volume that’s been left at ours, some walks in our office have over 60 boxes of mail on yorks and concertinas full of packets.

That’s the thing. If they want get a day at Sunday rate good luck to them. The jobs at ours that have gone out still have Thursday/Fridays and Saturdays mail on the floor. Mail centre still overflowing as well. Those that have gone in will be back to cutting off tomorrow.

Been approached by a handful of people about hospital appointments letters or other important stuff,I've been delivering their mail for those who ask me however the backlog and other s**t in the frames ,can't say I'm desperate to clear or actually give a f**k about.
