If you thought this dispute was going to win this week, because of a backlog at the most chaotic time of year, then I think you were mistaken. The damage of the strike has already been done. Long term disruption is what will win this. No company can run on continued uncertainty of its service. The customers are none the wiser if there's a backlog or not, they just know they're having to try and use other couriers to avoid whatever disruption occurs. Stay strong.

We have a few in our office gone in, but too be honest it’s not going to make a dent in the volume that’s been left at ours, some walks in our office have over 60 boxes of mail on yorks and concertinas full of packets.

Cannot comment on delivery office manpower but in the Mail Centre the Parcel Machines can whiz through any backlog.

I told a few in my office on Saturday to give their heads a wobble when asked by the manager to come in today .

Why wouldn't people be desperate to clear the backlog.
Aren't we the 4th emergency service?
That backlog contains medicines and hospital appointments doesn't it?

A lot of complaints from desperate people.

The energy companies have sent out top up codes to people on a key metre with the governments scheme.

They have very little so cannot heat their homes because these letters are stuck in the system due to the strikes.

A few have gone in at our place to clear some parcels. All union members. I thought we were fighting against Sunday working. 'all in it together' bunch of hypocrites.

We got asked to work today I said let me think about it..... Then laughed he said I guess that's a no!

Lots of people going into deliver mail and packets and most of them are the ones who work all their days off and tell you I've not lost any money yet....

Which is a bit of a kick in the teeth to people like me who wouldn't dream of helping them out during this dispute

We were asked for volunteers for sunday working we asked for treble time nobody ended working oh well simon and co thought he could financially force people back to work their is only one out of around 75 who decided to work.

I heard today that the backlog at Bristol,has moved to a hanger in Liverpool. If true,probably out of sight now from the media(& rats/foxes). Maybe giving the false impression that we have now caught up.
