Friends and Family to help out!
A new low from Royal Mail who are asking strike bearers to bring in any friends or family to help deliver Christmas! Desperation from Thompson who has clearly lost it. Rather than try to get a deal who would bring anyone in without proper checks or training, it’s farcical now

Re: Friends and Family to help out!
Here's a thought...everyone give them 5 members of our families details. Let them all sign up to come in to the office. Then either they don't show up or better still they turn up and take a van full of parcels out for drive then bring them all back and get paid for it offsetting some of our list strike money.

Re: Friends and Family to help out!
Should we take this as a positive that RM are bricking it & have reversed themselves into a cul-de-sac,or am I reading it wrong?
“Shorts,in this weather?!”
“If they’re bills I don’t want ‘em!”
“What’s she been ordering now?”

Customer Service Advisor at Royal Mail Group
New Joiners
All Staff whether they are peak or new entrants are security vetted through either DBS or DS depending on where they are in the country. They all go through checks before they are allowed to start whether this through an agency or through our recruitment teams. Just remember when you are posting comments like this that there is a huge team of people who work very hard each year to make sure the staff are through the door. Most of who are also CWU members too.

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.
