Still miles off from what I can see.

They still want an unlimited amount of owner drivers for the large parcel network. We cannot allow that to happen.

There is still no commitment to get rid of agency staff before they remove permanent staff. We cannot allow that to happen.

They are still wanting to bring in new staff on less pay and less favourable conditions than us current staff. We cannot allow that to happen.

They still want to ram in revisions without any CWU involvement, we cannot allow that to happen.

They still want to monitor our every move via Pda actuals and use the data for conduct/dismissal. Again we cannot allow that to happen.

Apart from that yeah we are pretty close

Starting at 8.45 is a massive no no. How can anyone agree to travelling to and from work during both rush hours? Nowhere to park and too late to pick the kids up. They must do a u turn on this or it’s no deal.

I personally have no issue with my Delivery Office's later start time.

I think the consultation and communication from the company has been god awful though.

There is a list of "indicative start times" on the myroyalmail website, not sure how current it is.

Contractually it is just a number of hours and days a week. No actual time is given (to us). Not one part-timer in my subs starts at 9. In the Big DO there is a listed PT start time but I've only ever known 2 people who come in at that time. But the point being, "what time exactly do you think most part-timers start at presently" not that time...

In the Big DO there is a listed PT start time but I've only ever known 2 people who come in at that time. But the point being, "what time exactly do you think most part-timers start at presently" not that time...

Well most part timers in DOs in Royal Mail without doing any overtime start around about 8:30-9am

The average start time for a full timer is somewhere between 6:30 and 7:30am

The list of current start times is on this page - you can add roughly two hours into that for when most part timers start

Well based on a Wednesday the hours will be 8am/4.30pm probably the same for Thursday and Friday. So that's what 25.5hrs right there, so based on a 37hr week they'll only be 11.5hrs left. You can't do much else if their planning a 5 day week for everyone what 11.5hrs left, are they giving us roller skates lol

When our 9 day fortnight duties went to 1/6 thanks to the CWU pushing for it, the duties that were 9 day fortnights didn't change, so they only had 8 hrs to do what they were doing in 9 on the long days. Hence they have never been able to complete in time once on a standard 1/6 shift pattern day length.
