Re: Voluntary redundancy
Some offices have been told how many VR's they're getting if any, others haven't yet. It presumably depends on how far down the revision road they are?
Based on posts on here and a conversation I had with our area rep, it's seniority.Does anyone know what criteria they will be using ?
Yeah lots of people did!Did anyone do the preference exercise on the people's app?

Re: Voluntary redundancy
Told by numerous managers they wanted thirty VR’s in Cardiff MC, all thirty gone and realignment completed by the end of January. Me personally I think they’ll go straight to CR’s and Thompson will blame us due to industrial action.

Re: Voluntary redundancy
It would depend on how many jobs they will lose in a revision.claystones wrote: ↑15 Dec 2022, 07:32No vr in our office but an office near us have been offered vr yet they are shortstaffed how does that work surely an office should be overstaffed for vr
If they are currently 3 short but a proposed revision will remove 5 jobs, then that leaves 2 surplus and consequently 2 VRs available.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

Re: Voluntary redundancy
Overheard a conversation in our office between DOM and local Post Office owner, they didn’t know I was sat in my van, where the tw*t of a DOM was saying that there’ll be no VR as the company want to get rid via compulsory redundancy of those staff with the highest sickness absences, the most disciplinary situations, and those who don’t make themselves available to do overtime. After hearing all this, I got out of the van, walked past them and the DOM sheepishly said, I didn’t realise you were still here! I don’t know if what he said is true or not, but with this rotten company nothing would surprise me anymore…..RobertT wrote: ↑14 Dec 2022, 05:51Some offices have been told how many VR's they're getting if any, others haven't yet.
