Hi everyone
I will give a notice on Friday and I have 32 hours(5 days) left of annual leave .
My notice will be for 4 weeks
That means that actually I will work for 3 weeks right?
Or because my annual leave is calculated by the end of march of 2023 I am not eligible for the 32 hours

So by the time you leave, you'll have completed roughly 40 weeks of employment in the current leave year(April - March).

I make that about 108 hours of leave entitlement.

In practice HR should work out the figures for you anyway!

I went in on my day off to give my notice in. Only one of the two COMs had access to my record on PSP, but they were immediately able to see how much leave I was entitled to up to my leaving date.

Hopefully you have the People App, make sure you take screenshots of all the leave you have already taken BEFORE you hand your notice in. When I left they took Holiday Pay back off of me because someone had deleted a week's leave that I had already taken!! I was entitled to two more days when I gave my notice in, so that was a deliberate act by someone within RM to try and screw money out of me. Access to the APP is removed on your last day, so it will be harder to prove if anything similar happens.

I have a daft question

What happens to lieu days you have when you leave - are they counted as part of annual leave or seperate

And if you have enough leiu days built up can you use them as part of your notice period ie not come back to work

What do you mean by lieu days? If they are where your day off was a Bank Holiday then they should have been added to your leave entitlement, so you would be entitled to take them as holiday during your notice period.

I was entitled to 3 days leave when I gave my notice in. It wasn't worth the stress of an argument to include them in my notice period and as I didn't trust RM to pay me for them after I left I ended up giving 10 days notice and worked the first 7 and had my final 3 days as leave.
