I really want these to go ahead as its minus -4 where i'am and it will give everyone a chance to go out and get their xmas shopping done without the crowds

As much as I'd love this to be over, I'd look pretty unfavourably on the CWU if they walked out of tomorrow's talks (if they are even happening) and told us they were cancelling the strikes as a goodwill gesture.

If you don't want to be working past 3pm I suggest you get another job because you will definitely be finishing later than that. We have been for yrs in our office. If you haven't, then you've got off lightly. No question that later starts and finishes will come in.
The biggest thing that the CWU should be emphasizing with a red line is that we still have a finish time to work to. On what I'm hearing of our revision, walks that are regularly over by an hr a day are having more added to them!! Fine if we can still work to time if you don't want the overtime, but if it's commit to deliver, that's another matter entirely.

If they cancel without a concrete agreement RM are laughing. It's the only time that real pressure can be exerted. Now is not the time for any goodwill gesture.

They will go ahead, not so sure about 23/24 though.
I reckon the 14th and 15th will definitely go ahead and I feel the 23rd and 24th will also go ahead as well . New strike ballot in January and we go again . Simon Thompson and the board might be prepared to write this Christmas off but what about the shareholders watching their investments going down the drain. I don’t think they would share the same views

Yes they will go ahead and next weeks 23rd 24th
ST didn’t think we would hold it for this long. But beware if he gets his way we’ll be working Christmas Day next year
