Can someone explains profits/losses? Link to official figures?
Are rmg making a million less a day on last years profits so still making money? Or is rmg actually losing money?

What Simon told the markets is that Royal Mail (not the whole business) were losing approx £1 million/day for the first 3 months of the financial year.
Losing money not making less money.
Losing money not making less money.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

the exact same amount stated by Crozier and Leighton in 2007/8. i think they just got the books out and blew the dust off the pages and said ''oh yes, this is the tried and tested line we use''

Yeah does seem like dejavu
I get test kits made some serious money but i have not seen much of a drop off in parcels (maybe because we have no shops around here) and letters seem to be up.

I think it's like if a bank offered an account and said "deposit £100 on Jan 1, and every week we take £2.00 out until December, when we deposit £150-200 over the course of a month..."
If you check the balance before Christmas you think you've lost money and panic

How much spent on parcel hubs and electric vans this year ? Does this explain the 'losses' ? Shouldn't they have used previous profits to invest in these things rather than paying share holders?

Screenshot from official half year results, if you read it all it does answer most questions, all will be accurate as they can't legally lie when reporting figures for stock market

Go on to the RM website and get all the figures going back to 2011 and up to 2025. Simon has said he will definitely get t your on new terms and conditions. All the future predictions for profit are based on it. They say I read it, is RM are losing £80 million a day not £120 million as he says. There also watering down the new pension for new starts. He cannot come to an agreement with CWU, because he will be out of a job. The only way I see for going forward is a vote on work to rule, ie just doing the job the way it should be done and no docket being done. We are about to go on strike in DWP . I put into payments, benefits that would make your eyes water. Maybe we would all be better on the dole.postmanzach wrote: ↑08 Dec 2022, 06:00Are rmg making a million less a day on last years profits so still making money? Or is rmg actually losing money?

Why does Simon Thompson still have a job? The ‘we are losing £1m per day’, line was trotted out way before strike action so why hasn’t he done anything about that except focus entirely on parcels whilst ignoring letters completely?
You just know he’ll get a big fat bonus as soon as the strike action is over.
