Re: Part D
Haven't you already asked that question: viewtopic.php?f=27&t=107527
Your RM pension is made up of 2 parts:
1. The RMSPS, which is what you accrued up to 31st March 2012
2. The RMPP, what you accrued from 1st April 2012 onwards.
It's not clear which pension your form relates to!
You should have received similar paperwork, asking similar questions, from both!
The RMPP website says you have to include the RMSPS pension on your 'RMPP lifetime allowance' form. See this video: https://player.vimeo.com/video/46297352 ... portrait=0
It would be logical for the opposite to be the case too, but without personal experience myself, I can't answer that 100%.
If in doubt phone the relevant scheme!
Lots of info, including 'how to videos', can be found on the schemes websites:

Re: Part D
Part D looks as though it is for pensions that you are already getting payments from. So if the Royal Mail pension is your only pension and you're not getting paid anything from it yet, then you wouldn't have to fill in that part.
But as RobertT said, you will have to declare the value of the other part of your Royal Mail pension somewhere on that form. From the flowchart that you posted in your previous thread, it looks like that would be part E ("Other pension benefits that are due to come into payment on the retirement date shown at the top of this page"). So find Part E and put the details of the other part of your Royal Mail pension there

Re: Part D
Yes you have to declare your RMPP on this form (although you're not getting it yet) I initially left this part blank, then got a letter from RMSPS to say I needed to complete part D. I had to ring RMPP to get the figures needed to complete.

Re: Part D
Just filled my one in. Decided to list my RMSPS 60 pension in Section D with its LTA as that pension started after 2006. And in Part E listed the 6 years of my NRA65 pension amounts and LTA from the RMPP. See if that works out ok as my 65 pension is due in late January!

Re: Part D
Don't worry mate. Take your time . Its crazy difficult for most people. Would have been nice if RM could have provided a few pension experts to travel to offices and sit down and go through the paper work with people who find it a struggle. My opinion is pensions and most financial products in general are made difficult on purpose . It's the one thing they would never teach at schools. They would never allow it. The government wouldn't want a financial literate population.

Re: Part D
I have received my NRA65 paperwork from RMPP and the equivalent to Section D there are only 4 questions per pension to be asked if already taking pensions.
I phoned RMSPS just to double check my figures from the statements I receive and:
1) date I received the benefits - my 60th birthday
2) lump sum? The advisor didn’t know the answer - couldn’t I ask RMPP?
3) what income do I receive from this pension? It’s on the statement
4) What percentage of Lifetime allowance has this used? - “I can’t find the answer, I’ll get someone to ring or email you, could you not ask RMPP?”
By contrast I rang my employer previous to working with Royal Mail and they were able to give the answers immediately
It does seem a little frustrating having to contact advisors who cannot find the basic information which is, for all purposes available to the relevant pension departments.

Re: Part D
Why does it have to be so cumbersome and beureaucratic when a simple email/ letter confirm pay number and bank account then start paying in.

Re: Part D
Because we're the victims of the many changes to our pension schemes over the years.
The worst one being the ridiculous situation of having two administrators for NRA60/65 benefits. It makes the whole process of taking our pensions unnecessarily inconvenient and long winded.
It'll be interesting to see how well the new RMCPP will be administered.
