London rally ....how was it for you ?

It was cold but what a fantastic atmosphere with over 17,000 of my colleagues . Whatever happens in the future it will be a day I'll always remember

But will it get us anywhere regarding the 'deal'? Very much doubt it.

You've been around long enough to know these kinds of disputes often boil down to a battle for Public Support. RM play Games, and the CWU play games, all aimed at getting the upper hand in the PR Battle.

I know sometimes it feels like our own Union are treating us like children, asking for comments & likes on YouTube videos, stage managing rallies with orchestrated chanting etc but they're just playing the game. Unfortunately a lot of people nowadays are unable to grasp the seriousness of any given situation unless you play these Social Media Games and create "The Instagramable Opportunity" for taking Selfies!

It's crazy, whilst some who are striking are struggling to feed their families and heat their homes.......while all these social media games are being played. Both sides need to just get a grip and grow up. They're both playing with our bits .

I don't agree. I think we'll loose a few but it'll still be around 80%.

You're right mate. I think even amongst us Strikers there is a hope that both sides can agree a decent deal before Christmas, and then I think most of us would get stuck in to try and deliver all those cards & pressies.

I agree we're going to lose a few who have become disillusioned, and are perhaps less commited than others. Hopefully though it'll hit all the percentage requirements and well have a good majority. After all 80% is still 8 out of every 10 posties. But what do we know?
