I get that he might be able to do it an hour or so quicker but half the time just defies physics. Even if he kicks down the gate and sprints up the path it’s still gonna take old Dorris the same amount of time to answer the door unless he’s made arrangements with everyone to ‘safe place’ parcels.

If somebody in the office can complete all that work and still be home for 1pm no matter how quick then the office you work at must be fast tracked for a major revision other than that somebody has to be having a laugh.

actually the reality is that the job he is on is huge. Most “normal” posties could never complete it in under 5.30-6 hours.

The guy i am talking about is literally a machine. It blows everyones mind how insanely fast he works, indoors and out. Many of us wonder if he is on some sort of stimulant type drug or just incredibly fit. He literally RUNS around.

When he occasionally does other walks on overtime he will finish them much earlier, which seriously pisses off the duty holders.

we have had that argument in our office where the guy finishes his walk daily so late that main gaffer refuses to pay him o/t as he is not up to agreed standards.the mentioned postie has some mental issues and everything takes him longer and is afraid to cut off..so his walk takes him around 6-7hrs to do and the quickest guys use this argument to claim similar amount of o/t for second duty put on overtime..

My partner is like this.on our van share usually one side is lapsed so we're never on together.He rushes round it like a madman and doorsteps every parcel signs for every special etc.I don't but I'm more organised and can get out a lot earlier and p739 if there not in etc.so we finish nigh on the same time because he rushes so much he makes that many mistakes.

Our number one office overtime guzler still ghosting everyday, getting 4 hours OT for doing one frame plus tracked off another.

So is being paid until 7pm but finishes by 1pm. On top of that he bizarrely is getting away with not even delivering all the tracked off the other frame- seemingly leaving as many as 10-15 wedged in the frame and getting away with it.

Also takes the van home everyday, something he’s been allowed to do for over 2 years now - and he lives over 10 miles away from the DO.

What kind of light duty has he got? My frame is taking close to 6 hours to clear with the current mail volumes. Safe to say it won’t all be going out tomorrow.

More fool him.

His speed has served him well in terms of being able to double up and earn sometimes £700+ per week. But he’s always so stressed and just does everything at 100 miles an hour. A ticking time bomb health wise i reckon.
