Let's Get the message out
This is not just for tomorrow but everyday we need the real postmen and women of this nation to talk about the whole reason of this dispute and how one man can end it by agreeing terms to end this damaging dispute. Most of us on here would would love to end this dispute tomorrow and get Christmas to everyone and provide for our family's and others family's, The Christmas we all deserve but alas one Simon Thompson said we are not agreeing change well we refute that argument and have and will be in talks. He Also states 9% this is an illusion most of this is a one off cash payment ie not inflation payment. While this person is on £62,850 a month and got a £142,000 bonus while we got 2% imposed. We also need to state that they employ people to break the strike on more money to the agency than we get. So all in all it is a s**t show of corporate greed and lack of oversight by the people who are supposed to regulate the business and the government is turning a blind eye!

That useless tosser, the least productive element of Royal Mail, gets £62, 850 a month?
There you have it, a clear indication as to why this company is on the slide.

Re: Let's Get the message out
As a reserve, I've finally got my 'christmas duty', and have told every single person I've seen what's really going (the round has been neglected for a good while, it's a shambles).
Also had a little 'discussion" on nextdoor with a few people complaining that we are lazy and loving all this time off, just to get more money than we deserve.
Educate the masses.

Failed revisions - absolutely calamitous.
Failed trust - He wanted trust throughout the business when he came in as CEO - he has the complete opposite. No trust from the workforce, the union, the customers who send parcels, the customers that receive parcels. He's been lying through his teeth to everyone, especially through going to a 5 day service in large swaths of the country by having no float/day off cover.
Failed the whole business - £758 million profit one year to £400million loss the next year.
Failed his grandpa - Who fought for workers rights.

I tell people they want us to work till 7pm in the dark and work Sundays. And are partly owned by a Czech billionaire. That's sufficient. I haven't got all day. Most people don't give a s**t anyway. They were quite happy to sit at home getting paid to do nothing by the tax payer and ordering non essential crap during the really bad flu lockdown while we kept on working.

Re: Let's Get the message out
IF you're suggesting we discuss the reasons for the strikes with our customers
I'd be surprised if most Posties haven't been doing it since Day 1. I spend so long discussing the problems with my regulars that I've had to book all these "Chats" as my Meal Relief so as not to take the piss (I know RM take the piss constantly but some of us Posties do have morals).
I've only ever had one person comment against the Strikes, and that was the Trains! So I ended up putting the RMTs point!!
Without a doubt they have been very supportive, and this is in a fairly affluent area where you'd expect a lot more of the "Bolsey Union Trouble Makers" type comments.
