The echo of "We Want Thompson Out ... We Want Thompson Out" bounching off buildings on the approach to Birdcage Walk was something special! Even the motorists stuck in the impromtu traffic jam were fairly good natured and joined in honking their horns! Well worth the effort.

I'm sure you would have enjoyed it, as people so often mention about large sporting fixtures .... it was more about the atmosphere!

You didn't hear me moaning about losing £1500 did you? I don't know if your reply was trying to be intentionally sarcastic but there was more to it than drivers honking their horns, I have yet to meet anyone that's against our Industrial Action .... Apart from other Postal Workers!

Brilliant day! Met some old colleagues from my original office and the sea of pink vests had some bemused tourists thinking it was some sort of Pride event
Some great speakers, including a guest appearance by the RMT’s Mick Lynch

It was a fantastic day and everyone that made the effort was rewarded with a brilliant event and brilliant atmosphere.

It was a great day. Couldn't hear much of the speakers.... Great to meet people from all around the country...
Ultimate respect for those from Doncaster and Cornwall I met... That is some journey back.
Not sure if will help in the dispute ultimately but the strength of feeling is clear to see....
We will not roll over and get our tummy tickled and it was great to see huge numbers coming out to support this notion.

I was contemplating whether to go due to the freezing weather. But I live in London and though it was cold it was bright and sunny so I layered up and went along. And I'm really glad I did. Great atmosphere, cheerful, enthusiastic and determined. There was quite good media coverage of the rally but no reports that after the rally in Parliament Square we marched en masse to Buckingham Palace to chants of 'Thompson Out!'

King Charles drove up to the Merseyside picket line and when asked if he'd reconsider crossing a picket line said, "Sorry Boys .... I've got bills to pay .... and I need the money"!

Surprisingly there was no police presence when we marched from Parliament Square to the Palace. When we got there there were only a couple of police inside the railings, plus the two guardsmen in the sentry boxes. As I was leaving three police vans parked up but no hassle or problems, we were dispersing then anyway.

We saw the Police Vans speeding down Bird Cage Walk and wondered if something had kicked off?

Glad it was just a belated reaction by the Met to thousands of Noisy Posties sneaking up on the Palace in Pink Hi Vis!
