Just watched last night's facebook live talks update. So as far as I understand it,,,if I think where the union is going,,,IF the so called 9% pay offer over 18 months was backdated,,,IF there are no compulsory redundancies until maybe 2024,,,if the union have recognition of the use of the local reps to help implement next years workload revision by the full means of the MTSF and IR framework using current tools,,by then also agreeing to all the other s**t they want to bring in,,,then they will call the strikes off and put the deal to the PEC,,,well guess what,, they can f**k Off

The Governments proposed Anti Strike laws look terrifying.

The Tories are out soon -

Worth considering, if they are trying to “terrify” working people who are standing up for their rights.

You'll be surprised. The Tories are out soon, but these laws are a trap for the next Labour government who will be facing the same financial pressures as the current government. They'll be under immediate pressure to repeal these laws, aswell as giving into union demands for very high wage rises inline with inflation which they will probabably conclude are unaffordable and politically difficult because the private sector won't be getting anything like that. They're then in a bind, because it'll probably suit them to leave the laws in place leading to a huge split between the unions/left of the party and Stamer's government.

Exactly. Anyone who thinks we're going to get huge pay increases under a Labour government will soon be disappointed. They need a history lesson . They'll rip themselves apart in months. They may tax a few billionaires a few quid to please the Sharon's on Facebook but a billionaire can live anywhere in the world . The economic reality remains. No one wants to work over 50 in the UK , ageing population, pensions ransacked over the years.. Labour will get the money like the tories. Tax the few left working or just print it until other countries say no more funny money thanks. I don't mind postman arguing for their rights in the workplace and a living wage but the idea yet another upper middle class Oxford educated career politician with a different coloured Rossett is going to save us all ( again ) makes me sad.
