Re: No booking delivery overtime
Working your day off has been stopped - except for the one OPG who is in a relationship with one of the managers.
Does that look unprofessional? I think so.
Does that look unprofessional? I think so.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

This can't possibly be true.mjd24 wrote: ↑09 Dec 2022, 09:46Our number one office overtime guzler still ghosting everyday, getting 4 hours OT for doing one frame plus tracked off another.
So is being paid until 7pm but finishes by 1pm. On top of that he bizarrely is getting away with not even delivering all the tracked off the other frame- seemingly leaving as many as 10-15 wedged in the frame and getting away with it.
Also takes the van home everyday, something he’s been allowed to do for over 2 years now - and he lives over 10 miles away from the DO.
No-one could do their own duty, plus a second duty, plus tracked off a third, and finish by 1pm.

This is why Royal Mail is losing so much money - poor management. Paying people ridiculous overtime.mjd24 wrote: ↑09 Dec 2022, 09:46Our number one office overtime guzler still ghosting everyday, getting 4 hours OT for doing one frame plus tracked off another.

Isn't it illegal to be taking vans homes - no insurance for that? - report it.

Re: No booking delivery overtime
If somebody in the office can complete all that work and still be home for 1pm no matter how quick then the office you work at must be fast tracked for a major revision other than that somebody has to be having a laugh.

The guy i am talking about is literally a machine. It blows everyones mind how insanely fast he works, indoors and out. Many of us wonder if he is on some sort of stimulant type drug or just incredibly fit. He literally RUNS around.
When he occasionally does other walks on overtime he will finish them much earlier, which seriously pisses off the duty holders.

RM self insure so it's not 'illegal' as such. However if the postie hasn't got the correct authorisation for
van retention (it should all be done on paper and reviewed annually AFAI recall) then he could be in
a world of hurt if they had an accident or there was an investigation for any other reason.

Re: No booking delivery overtime
As much as you want to book at ours, over a dozen early sorters and booking overtime 2 hours before your finish time and before I get harassed I’m not gloating but simply highlighting the inconsistencies of one office to another. I finish on my time before I book o/t by the way. It won’t last I’m sure but whilst it does why not grab the last of a good thing eh

What kind of light duty has he got? My frame is taking close to 6 hours to clear with the current mail volumes. Safe to say it won’t all be going out tomorrow.mjd24 wrote: ↑09 Dec 2022, 09:46Our number one office overtime guzler still ghosting everyday, getting 4 hours OT for doing one frame plus tracked off another.

He’s just insanely fast, almost to an unbelievable level.kazardaimenu wrote: ↑09 Dec 2022, 19:17What kind of light duty has he got? Genuinely think the amount an average postie does in 6 hours, he would do in maximum 3.

Re: No booking delivery overtime
This is the NEW "Uber Postie" being secretly trialled. He will be cloned and introduced to all Delivery Offices around the country. All 6 hour duties WILL be completed in 3 hours .... This is ST's New Master Plan!

We have one as well I suspect he owns an industrial size shredder or has a massive fire pit because he's so fast we all wonder if it all gets done..

Apparently we had one of those. Turns out it was all in his back pack, car boot & his bloody living room! I kid you not!
