Dave Ward mentioned our ballots in the CWU live yesterday, he mentioned they will both expire. He said we will be balloted again in the new year. Does anyone know when the mandates expire and we have to stop? It seems like years have passed since our ballots.

The legislation states 6 months from date of ballot (which AFAIK is the date the result is announced).

So first ballot result was 19th July and the second 17th August so six months from those dates.
Who knows whether that means 182/183 days or whether it means 19th Jan and 17th Feb (which might
be slightly different can't be bothered to work it out) who knows.....

Don't know how they've worked that out, there's a two month gap between the expiry dates your rep has quoted
but there was only a month between the two results.

Is your rep not getting the protections from being dismissed due to IA after 12 weeks expiring on 23 Dec following the employer (RM) involving
ACAS for the first pay ballot expiry date you're quoting?

So we have to reballot before about the 17th of feb to continue taking any action.

So from what we all see on a daily basis with our own eyes, the union best get that organised pretty damn quick or the ballot papers will just sit in boxes piled up in DO's and not make the round trip in time.

We can prioritise them just like management prioritises tracked parcels.

We run them separate on an iLSM and the iLSMs have got an extra configuration option where the NHS letters get extracted. I know at least one DO locally just bungs them with all the other letters on the IPS, I suspect that it'll be the same for a very high percentage of DOs. RM may as well have not bothered and let us sequence them along with the rest of the mech letters

Our NHS letters arrive in bundles with the Special Deliveries.
They are then handed to the sorters on IPS. After that?

When we get them they're either in the sequenced or in the flats for IPS sorting, no prioritisation directed or given at the last mile.

NHS letters go to our locker and are put on IPS for immediate sorting and are delivered .
Our office has cleared every day the only overtime has been for belateds
