LTB 487/22 – 2022 Dispute Relating to Royal Mail Group Breaking the “Pathway to Change” and Associated National Agreements and Protections for CWU Represented Grades Employed by Royal Mail Group Consisting of Royal Mail, Parcelforce and Fleet
No. 487/22
8th December 2022
Dear Colleagues,
2022 Dispute Relating to Royal Mail Group Breaking the “Pathway to Change” and Associated National Agreements and Protections for CWU Represented Grades Employed by Royal Mail Group Consisting of Royal Mail, Parcelforce and Fleet
Branches and Representatives will know that the Postal Executive has rejected what Royal Mail Group has described as its “best and final offer”. It is therefore necessary to keep the pressure on RMG to negotiate a more reasonable outcome. Accordingly, the union has today served the statutory notice of discontinuous strike action to RMG as follows:
The strike will cover all duties and scheduled attendance commencing between the period at or after 04:00 on Friday 23rd December 2022 and before 19:00 on Saturday 24th December 2022. The industrial action will be discontinuous.
Any enquiries in relation to the content of this LTB should be addressed to the DGS(P) Department.
Yours sincerely,
Andy Furey
Acting Deputy General Secretary (Postal)

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.
My BFF Clash
The daily grind of having to argue your case with an intellectual pigmy of a line manager is physically and emotionally draining.

Unfortunately it's looking like the long road, the changes that RM want , are to great for our colleagues, so the standoff continues. None of our colleagues wanted this, , we have year after year given our all for the company, to deliver Christmas ,and all year round to our best capabilities .and we want to deliver Christmas this year as well. its maybe to late now, so what's next for a company now on its knees, because that's what I see,all around. .......

Why?
Yes we have to stay strong especially now when the action bites hard for many members.
I would rather see a seed change in management. Royal Mail has an obligation, that they took on, to deliver mail. Not packets.
Management need a reality check.
I don't want to see this company on its knees. But I will not bow to their terms and conditions.

Doesn't Royal Mail also have a USO obligation to deliver parcels five days a week, Monday to Friday?
