190 if you include 20 agency staff who heroically have all stayed out on strike days despite their own threats of being replaced.

Easy for a PT to justify the time off though, they are losing maybe £50 net for each day of strike with the backup of maybe a second job or someone in the household on a much higher income, seems like maybe they hang around because of the benefits outside of pay, the documents I’ve seen from Thomson state, ‘sick policy unchanged for first absence’ and his latest letter now confirming no compulsory redundancy.

No, it's harder for PT to stay out on strike days. I am FT and I could do 4 days instead of 5 forever, even 3 isn't bad as a single man with a mortgage and no drinking or gambling habits but if I was PT and especially working on a 3 day a week attendance on a 25 hour contract and needed OT to even make a living, staying out even one of those three days would be tough.

So, kudos to all the part timers who have held out.

I'm part time 30 hours, my partner doesn't work due to ill health, so losing £170 odd last week isn't good. Still striking though with the rest

So why only last week did he send a letter to Andy Furey asking to meet to work out what criteria the compulsory redundancies would be made on? And putting forward their own suggestions for what the criteria might be?

We have all seen it there in black and white.

If it was a threat he wasn’t going to carry out and served only to put the fear of God into people before Xmas that they might soon be unemployed then he is the absolute lowest of the low.

For the strike breakers, bear in mind they're probably counting other parts of the business as well, not just delivery (to fudge the numbers even more).

I know for example that there are a fair few people in Customer Service who came in on the last two days, and there are probably those in all the other back office roles coming in.

So it could very well be there's 11,000 people in, but like half of those are in roles that don't deliver or process any mail.
