I believe a few in my office were called into COM this morning to be told they will be offered it and it was done on seniority

I would have assumed it would have to be done based on the same criteria throughout the business. So I am surprised if it is actually being done by 'cheapest to let go' in some depots as some have selected in this poll.

Where's the option for "no-one, because Royal Mail were playing us all like a fiddle, but we all clicked the app anyway because our eyes lit up at £6k, and now Simon has loads of data on who, where and how to make Compulsory Redundancies"?

41% of depots understaffed - they don't even need any redundancies.....

Thompson - what are you doing to us, our customers - both senders and those ordering and expecting to receive items.

So you're gonna be 25 staff down! Unless the uso gets changed pretty rapidly, or your walks were ridiculously easy (ha), your com/doms are basically stuffed! How are they ever gonna clear the office? Okay for us posties still, so far at least, we can cut off still.

Can't speak for all but that's exactly why I applied either way some of us want out and at least some money will help.wouldnt it be better if the compulsory redundancys were given to people who wanted out anyway..

We had to lose just over 700 hours in our office ( 20 FT staff ) they’ve taken up to now 10 VR’s ,5 naturally going in the next 3/4 months and they reckon people will leave between now and April.. hey Presto .. 700 hours gained.
There not bothered this has no chance of working it’s a cost cutting exercise, the COM has told them numerous times it’s impossible to achieve any targets set he is always greeted with the same response “ just do it “
