I've still got a tank top, from when I first started. Still think they're the best bit of uniform we ever got given. It's gotta be 30yr old now. Its getting pretty threadbare now, so it only comes out for special occasions. I would've worn it for this.clashcityrocker wrote: ↑06 Dec 2022, 16:30Some of the people I work with don't appear to own any of their own clothes.

There's no coaches being organised for us so we'll have to pay a fair bit to get there. If it's just standing in Parliament Square listening to speeches, it probably won't even make the news. If we march through London disrupting traffic, it will make the news and might be worth paying the train fare to take part. Is it just a rally or is it a march too?

I love the sound of the phrase 'Counting the Harringtons' for some reason. I'll have to use that.
Perhaps the company doesn't want the media filled with images of their employees in the the tattered rags that have yet to be replaced by the new uniform which is currently being held to ransom.
The machine stops.

The branches are buying train tickets depending where you are in the country. Ask your rep!moonjaguar wrote: ↑06 Dec 2022, 16:55There's no coaches being organised for us so we'll have to pay a fair bit to get there. CWU displays fear.
Don't wear uniform on march, it might upset Thompson.
Pathetic.

The uniform belongs and supplied by the employer to wear at work during duty time.
It is not some sort of political symbol to wear on your days off protesting against that employer without prior authorisation.
