Some walks clearing on OT, some working to time clearing the SD's and tracked then alternating the
uncleared letters as instructed.

OT and days off OT available for those that need/want it (it's a NO from me!), agency in too.

As an aside, a tracked returns parcel (don't you just hate people who order crap then have
to return it!?) my OH posted at the PO last Friday reached it's destination at the other end
of the country this morning, so stuff is getting through to some places somehow.

Mail Centre late shift yesterday. I was told but couldn't verify there were 1st class parcels unsorted from the previous week parked in a corner somewhere. I was also told Sunday was given over to sorting 200 yorks of ejects from the PSM. Angard casuals in again but big fail. Not unusual for a Monday at any time of year here. Some staff were warned about taking photos on the deck and posting to social media or the press.

Greenford MC yesterday on nights struggled to clear but then that is every night occurrence most of the year but even more so at Xmas. Chatted to a casual on the way in heard the PSM was running on Saturday and Sunday nights trying to clear 400 yorks of work brought in from Heathrow DC most of which were Lumps or hard to read foreign mail so the large majority chucked onto to manual for Xmas and Angard casuals to clear. The outhouse which is open for Xmas next door is currently being manned by 2 made up for Xmas posties as Managers and 5 Xmas casuals not employed next door wouldn't expect them to be able to clear much backlog of 2nd class mail from anywhere else with those staffing levels

Looking bleak at PFW, the whole network is struggling to catch up already and the next strike being four days away, along with potential ice and snow on the way too.

Imo anything not in the network by this time next week has got a slim chance of turning up before Christmas.

Some walks good, some bad, some really bad! I guess at the moment it's down to personal preference and how you're dealing with the dispute. Some won't do a single extra thing, some dont mins extending a bit and some psychopaths are clearing everyday!

Better get the same old photo you post every year to show how " busy " it is :nana . The office is virtually clear. The nuclear option has not worked. Better sort something out by. early next year.

You are all about to be hit bigtime today.

Total deluge in the MC last night, every area blew out, hundreds of casuals being called in this morning to try and clear the nightshifts work.

If your office is clear then your delivery office probably has too many staff and/or the town/village you deliver to gets a very low amount of deliveries.

We still have Yorks of work in offices around our sector still waiting to go to the mail centre as they cannot cope. No way has it been a failure

Yorks are being stored in rest areas and meeting rooms at my mc, probably have to start using the toilets soon… :cuppa

The mail centre is failing to sort all that they’ve got, then we’re failing to sort everything that comes into the DO, then we’re failing to deliver what little we’ve sorted. So it looks bad.

Nevermind, friday is a strike day so there will be ample opportunity to clear the backlog out of the Mail Centres during those 24hrs.

Funny thing is though, i'll bet all those agency strike breakers suddenly decide they don't want to work it. :no no
