RMCtv : CEO Simon Thompson has exchanged further letters with the CWU's Dave Ward this evening. You can read Simon's latest letter here, with talks planned tomorrow in front of Acas.

He makes reference to the "final offer" in the 3rd paragraph. "Upto 9% over 18 months". The letter is also extremely one sided. He seems intent to yet again, to paint us and the CWU heads in an extremely bad light with reference of picket line behaviour. Has anyone heard anything from the police regarding the alleged "issues" on the picket line? Has it been mentioned anywhere else other than from ST?

This reads like "you have been summoned to the headmasters office for a talking to about your attitude". And it doesn't seem to mention anything about compromise on the company line.

He says offer , not full and final offer .

He’s wrong, my customers don’t have other options for getting their mail, seeing as we are the only ones that deliver mail. But he’s happy for it to be left in frames as he prioritises tracked packets. Profit over the USO.

He has gone back very quickly on his stance to stop talking.

ST seems to think that this meeting tomorrow will be able to solve the pay issue, the T&C issue, the behaviour issue and the way forward. Might as well add a solution to the Ukraine war, world famine, drought prevention and global warming. Two hours with a tea break should be long enough.

That's if ST even turns up.

Simon Thompson needs to be reported to the police for fraud and discrimination,i bet he don't turn up cos he hasnt got a clue how the postal system works,i hope Dave says there will never be a resolution until all reps are reinstated,he brought this mess to RoyalMail not us his lack of knowledge of the devastation of a strike at xmas,he had 7 months.

Exactly, it looks like he basically wants to turn up to hear the union agree to his proposals he has no intention of changing his offer!
