It's an extra payment for delivery posties, mail centre workers get a different supplement that isn't as much.

I dunno. It started just after the D2D payments stopped. Just after the part timers stopped getting paid the same as a full timer for delivering D2D. Round about the same time as I was told by the area rep that they couldn't pay the part timers the same delivery supplement as the full timers because the full timers would kick off.

The supplement is there to keep your pay near what it was before D2D payments ended in 2010. Many people mistakenly think the Delivery Supplement is just a flat-rate D2D payment (versus the old system where you claimed per D2D contract for your walk each week).
