Do not abuse either strike breakers or people who are striking. I will delete all threads with even a hint of personal insults.
From this point on I will ban anyone who resorts to personal insults regularly, and that includes the term "Dickhead" This is your last warning.
This forum is not for you if you can't argue your points without insults.
People who use abusive terms because they disagree with people, instead of trying to talk them around are making it more likely people will break the strikes.

Well said true blue, sadly people will soon or later have to choose, between family and colleagues, I personally this week the 2 strike days , and since in my office anyway, not allowed to work your day off to at least to make up some shortfall, will have a substantial reduction in take home pay, some of our workforce might have to make a massive decision, in due course. I for one will not condone people returning to work on strike days.and as a follower of Royal mail chat, love the banter and humour at other times on this website, no matter our preferences, all off us have different situations in life, and it's a free speech country, but yes you are correct , some of the people are getting highly emotional , which goes with the moment in time , it's difficult to hold back sometimes, so maybe a little less coorse with the language, and we are all hoping for the same outcome here, even the people that have different opinions , And the colleagues that might have to return to work during strike days . Thanks........

I understand your point TBT
We all get a bit carried away sometimes. I feel the situation is not helped by certain "Characters", who for whatever reason, insist on coming onto RMC and winding up other posters who are trying to discusss a post.
We know RM have started a campaign to try and wind up Posties, be it on the Picket Lines, in the Workplace or on Social Media Platforms.
I believe many of these "Characters" are simply Trolls encouraged to come onto RMC and cause arguments. As well as deleting threads that include Abusive Language it might help if you deleted posts that are Intentional, and Obvious,Trolling. I don't believe this will discourage discusssion, or turn RMC into an "Echo Chamber", but it might help the stuation.
Your time and effort in administering RMC is always appreciated.

I don’t mind the stance, but there seems to be a growing number of members who are not arguing in good faith and are seeking to provoke a response. That’s not to say that there can’t be a conflict of opinions, but there are folk who are in threads making 50% of the posts where their only intention is to flaunt contrary opinions that are bound to be unpopular on a pro-strike, pro-union forum.

This dispute will get settled eventually. When, I don’t know. The backlog is causing some RDCs to run out of Yorks. Customers sending work in on pallets, because we can’t supply Yorks. Those pallets, as soon as we start processing them, soak up all available Yorks. If we choose not to process the pallets, they take up valuable processing space.
The strikes ARE having a big impact now.
Is there any way you could maybe get one of those credit cards with a “0% on purchases for 12/24 months” promotional offer, keep track of everything you spend, and pay it back when we get a settlement?

We can probably handle at most a dozen pallets, after that they'd have to stay on the lorry. It'd be no good sending us RSCs as we got rid of our forklift a few years ago. If we start running out of yorks, we'll end up sending the work out to DOs on pallets and it'll be down to the COMs to make sure that they have got pallet trucks. It'd be no good them sending anything back to the MC as it'd be sent straight back to them without being unloaded as there'd be no where to unload it to. Some of the larger DOs have probably got more storage space than our MCwandle wrote: ↑04 Dec 2022, 15:46The backlog is causing some RDCs to run out of Yorks.
