We will catch up by next Friday so it’ll be pointless
I think the absolute chaos it's caused, resulting in the media coverage of this, putting this dispute firmly in the spotlight, and exposing the Royal Mail management's total disregard for the service, and it's staff, maybe isn't as pointless as u think.
Hope your right cos this can’t go on much longer for anyones sake, hopefully the media focus will make something happen, but I’m not convinced as Thompson doesn’t seem to care, he must have the backing of the board and seemingly couldn’t care less for the mere worker who might be struggling while he pockets 62k a month
Make no mistake, this is all coming from the board, they are far more than just complicit. Thompson is just their face of it

The entire board needs to go.

The problem is once they go the majority owner could well be DK, I can't see the Board are acting alone in seemingly trying to destroy the good name of RM, surely if it was just the Board they'd tell Simon to try and come to some kind of deal with the CWU?

You really have to wonder if we're heading for "fire & rehire" to try and break the deadlock.

i think it is shareholders ,board the lot there going to push the boundaries on employment law then probably reighn it in at some point and do a deal
where that point is is anyones guess . it also doesnt help when the government is also keen on unions losing more power so no help from them toss#ers.plus with all the other disputes goin on at the same time we are probably lower priority than the nhs and rmt as for simon thompson if you think he is the problem think again his strings are being pulled from above his aptitude has totally flipped in the last nine months :arrrghhh

Spot on.
“Against the backdrop of a challenging year, our colleagues have once again demonstrated the invaluable service they provide for our communities up and down the country. Looking ahead, we need to build on the great trust we have on the doorstep. We need to develop a razor-sharp focus on the customer, making sure our services are delivering exactly what our customers need and want. And we need to explore new opportunities for growth. We now have a unique opportunity to grow our business…

Whose said that?
Dave Ward?
Terry Pullinger?

No. The hypocrite known as Simon Thompson, Royal Mail CEO.

Very few clear frames; only the very easy business duties clearing who could clear whatever the workload to be fair. Some fittings haven't been out for a week judging by the state of some. On my paired duty we're failing a frame each day. We are one of the rare ones though. Some haven't took untracked packets or letters for days.

It's no busier than what it would be for a normal Xmas pressure day, if anything it's a little quieter. Think there's loads of stuff trapped in the pipeline somewhere

Imagine manipulating a dispute so that you drag it out for months and into Christmas so you can smash down the share price for your friend to buy up the company and tear it apart. Then have the cheek to blame the Posties. Simon Thompson has ruined Xmas in order to get another bonus for himself and get some billionaire a cheap deal.

Rich get richer, poor get shafted.

Couldn’t that be viewed as insider trading and illegal.
