What happens to a manager that has a grievance upheld against them (not a bullying or harassment one)?
Is the paperwork just put on file and then thats it or is it a proper reprimand that actually has consequences?
Thanks

They get promoted and or moved to another depot. Rinse and repeat.

Rm don't like to sack managers. If they are a problem in one office they tend to just move them sideways to another office!
Union what Union? Do we have a union?

With the one I did years ago, he was moved to a different MC, and told his promotion chances for the rest of his time with RM were zero. Proved to to be correct over time. He came back to my MC ten years later and apologised an shook my hand. Forgiven? No. but I was very wary of him until he took IHR four years later.

We've got a manager who has been bumped through about 4 DO's (2 local, 2 further north before he moved down here) over about 6 years... Guy from one of his previous transferred here last year and the first thing he said to our (at the time) DOM was "how the hell has that guy still got a job?!"
The reply was "don't ask"

I hate to jump on this but im in a similar situation and just wondered what happens after a grievance is upheld? does the 'recommendations' put in place in the outcome decision have to be upheld? Or is it just 'recommended'

I don't wish to appear too negative but f**k all happens and nobody gives a s**t.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

Re: Grievance Upheld
Pre privatisation at my old old office there was a manager who pinned a small chap up against the wall by his neck, he still kept his job. The postie was really quite a harmless nice guy, and the manager, well he was made of wee.
Seen a DOM make numerous females cry too, again nothing despite seemingly endless grievances put in over the years. She ended up taking redundancy recently. Shame, i had wished she'd fall at some hurdle. Now i can only hope a drunk driver hits her, 2 birds 1 stone.
