Forgive me if im missing something but if the plan is to mobilise posties from all ends of the country is it not a bit silly to have it the day before a working day rather than on the first day of a 2 day strike

Union can’t win can it ? They are trying to mobilise thousands of workers to descend on London , this will be on every news and raise the profile of our dispute, would you rather they sat back and said nothing ? Thompson will have to do interviews and every time he does he’s a shambles.

Unfortunately everthing does tend to revolve around London, especially Politics. This Strike certainly has Political aspects. I suppose because both CWU, and RM, have their HQs in London it kind of make sense.

I have even more Respect for colleagues who are willing to travel greater distances to support their Union? There's talk of Members getting flights to come over from NI! :Applause

You also have to realise that Journalists are lazy buggers and don't really like having to travel outside the M25, every Human Interest story you hear seems to be from inside the M25, therefore it'll get more coverage.... :cuppa

Not much use for those of us who have the job so we can be at our kids schools by 3, isn't that one of the things we are striking for?!

You can’t please everyone all the time , they also said those that can’t make the demo will still be needed on picket lines up and down the country.

Hardly a complete blackout. We watched that crank Piers Corbyn get arrested for 5G Coronavirus conspiracy theory nonsense on more than one occasion.
Or was that the Free Cornwall March? Hard to keep a track of all that lunacy.

Can't really expect us jocks to come all the way to london for a rally then straight back home afterwards for work next day.
