Is there any official documentation on rules of signing for a duty?
I seen a file that was 20 years old about not being able to sign for another duty if you’ve signed for one in the past 12 months. Any help appreciated.

Someone may correct me but I'm sure your able to sign one more time if youve already signed for a duty

Once you've signed for a duty you have got to stick with it for 12 months. You're not allowed to change duty before then

14.9 Employees taking up internally-advertised posts will be dedicated to them for a minimum of12 months. No applications for job moves will be considered during that period, unless they are:

• For specialist posts;
• As a result of serious personal or domestic reasons, following discussions with local CWU representatives.

My office recently had a post up that said ‘anyone who has signed for a new duty in the past 6 months and have received training on it cannot apply.’ As I missed out on that duty to someone who signed for a duty 7 months ago would I have a case to argue with?

what about if you signed for a duty but haven’t started the duty yet ?do you still have to wait 12 months ??

I once signed for a duty, didn't like it, and as there were other jobs available that nobody wanted - I asked to move to a vacant round and management were fine with me moving.

What's the point in keeping someone on a job they are not happy on if there are other jobs available that nobody else is doing.
