Pois policy.

Post by aiden01 »

Anyone else got a policy seem to be well down. have one due in 3 yrs paid £312 in this year yet statement shows policy has went down £150 from last year so a loss of around £500 think maybe best to cash it in.

POIS are truly awful, poor returns and high fees. Learnt the hard way like you!
I got out and use Commsave now. They are very good to deal with.

Every market is Down at the moment not the time to be cashing out anything unless desperate. Same with pensions, stocks, crypto, pretty much everything at this moment. If can hold out then great but if really need the money then that’s a personal choice. Best of luck mate. Strikes Aren’t helping our bank accounts one bit but I would rather suffer for one year to secure longevity for us all. Thompson didn’t mind paying himself his big fat bonuses thoughout the year though did he. Strong believer in karma so best of luck to him

While commsave are a good way to save direct from your pay, you don’t notice it as much. But the returns are poor.

There are savings accounts out there that pay up to 5% if you can lock your savings money away for a number of years.

I have 1 with virgin money, 1 year isa at 3.7% but you only have 30 days to pay in the money.
Another I have with atom which gives me 2.55% and I can pay into that whenever I like.

Commsave doesn’t pay interest, instead it pays a dividend. Last one I got was 1% I think.

Have a look on martin Lewis site for the best savings accounts
