VESA take over completed in the 1st quarter.

GLS sold in the 2nd quarter.

Royal Mail declares bankruptcy in the 3rd quarter.

If the 3rd part of this speculation were to happen would the government not have to step in and take back Royal Mail similar to what they did with network rail. What do you think about this scenario.. would it “good for us”?

Looking at the rest of the things the government 'runs' probably not! They'd be selling it again at the first opportunity.

When the government sold us off on the cheap and fixed it all by backing Whistle as a competitor knowing they couldn't deliver the goods, using the nationalised TSB bank to provide that fake competitor.

Exactly, I’ve had this argument before with the ‘they’ll just lapse that round.’ There’s an entire section here of 40 mile rurals, you can’t simply lapse those kind of rounds. Nor can you realistically leave them while Bob is on his 2 week holiday. Floats will always be needed, although I think eventually RM would love everyone to be floats and not have their own round.

Yes they will, but not for day off cover which I’m doing. So all of those on a four day duty cover will surely lose their roles, as there won’t be a requirement to cover a day off if the uso goes to 5 days.

But surely they wont get rid of a 20 years service guy who happened to pick a float job in the last revision, over a 2 year service part timer who managed to get a duty?!
