Change the setting to stylus only.
most of ours don't have a stylus :hmmmm
He means finger only you can't have stylus only, the two options are stylus and finger or finger only.

Correct. I meant finger only. Good spot.

On the "home" page, (the one with Indoor/Outdoor etc) there are 3 vertical dots in the top right-hand corner.
Touch that and it gives you the option of settings.
Under settings if you scroll down there is the option of finger only or finger and stylus.

To be fully serious, the finger only mode really does make a massive difference for the rain problems.

I just don't know why it's hidden in a menu like that, it should be asked on startup or just default...

Don't think any of our PDAs have got the stylus left, most don't even have the hand strap

Make sure you take a spare battery with you.

If you're setting up a manifest make sure you scan the 2d (QR looking code) and not the old style barcode. The old style code will force you to manually add the address to wherever you're going.

If it's raining and the screen freezes while you're grabbing a signature, lock the screen, then unlock it again. You should be able to continue with the signature.

If your hands are getting sore knocking on people's doors, use the PDA. The Parcel Gods put the rubber case on the PDA for a reason.

Make sure you sign off them after you use them. Otherwise the OPG who normally has it will have more work to do when he or she comes to use it.

I remember the stylus and strap well. Day 1 of new PDA was great. There it was, all crisp, new, pristine, perfect. The day after was my day off. When I got back, no strap, no stylus, and a whacking great hole pricked into the screen protector.

I don't particularly care, it's not personal property.

But you have to wonder, now.

Pretty certain each day they revert back to stylus mode or we've a lot of OPG's selecting that mode for some odd reason, as whenever it rains every PDA seems to in stylus mode I don't think I ever come across one in finger mode.

they don't work in the rain with a screen protector on and you have to brighten the screen every day to be able to see it outdoors :thumbdown
The brightening the screen thing does my head in. Seems minor, but I inevitably forget and have that second or two every morning thinking "What the f**k is wrong with this thing?" Well annoying!
