Coercion
We are all going to be taken into the office one by one for a private chat with the Manager, so he groom us individually and persuade us the benefits of accepting the deal being offered .
Is this not coercion an abuse of position and undue influence given the current situation?

Just go in there, sit and nod and join the picket line next time, you are not being asked to sign anything.

Re: Coercion
The fun and games begin ... Off topic, a few at our place suddenly getting called in for attendance reviews, even though on their absence sheet, one or two absences were down to COVID last year!

Re: Coercion
I was thinking more, that when RM took CWU to high court and won their case that an unknown unnamed manager witnessed work colleagues influencing other colleagues the court found in favour of RM.Surreypostie wrote: ↑03 Nov 2022, 16:59Just go in there, sit and nod and join the picket line next time, you are not being asked to sign anything.
Surely this is the same... No?

Re: Coercion
I suppose 1-2-1 will provide us with an opportunity to put a few questions to our managers.
Why did the business give a special (extra) dividend worth 400 million to shareholders.
Would they consider this as good management considering the present financial position.
How did the business find the money to give managers a bonus for good attendance over the last couple of months.
Are RM trying to starve staff into submission.
Why is mail being put in the frames now, as we were previously told this would be a uso failure and not to do this.

Re: Coercion
Question I would ask:
If we get shorter hours in the summer, and holiday will be done as annualised, will that mean people who manage to get holiday in the "quiet" months will get more days off, and if so won't that mean more walks needing absorbing in those months, thus requiring more hours to cover it?

The more absorbing in the summer, the better
The more hours you do in the summer when it's supposed to be quiet ...

Just stare blankly into the corner, defecate in to your battered trousers and continuously mutter simon thompson (capitals missed intentionally)
