Not going as well as some of them would have hoped
Got an email from skinnyfood company there
Hello our valued customer,
As you may be aware we decided to start using Evri due to ongoing frequent Royal Mail Postal Strikes. This was to ensure customers ordering would receive their order as quickly as possible with minimal delays.
Unfortunately things haven't been as smooth as we would have hoped in making this decision.
Due to a large influx of complaints surrounding slow delivery timeframe and occurrences of damaged or lost orders we have decided with immediate effect to go back to using only Royal Mail for our UK postal volume.
We are very sorry to all of our loyal customers who may have recently experienced a sub-standard delivery with your recent order but rest assured we are dispatching fast and we are reverting back to a service we had very little issues with.
We hope you continue to support us and understand our decision for moving, and now moving back to normal service.
If there are any current outstanding issues or concerns you may have at all please don't hesitate to contact us directly via our customer support team on this email and we will endeavour to get back to you as soon as possible.
Exactly what we know. Despite what Thompson thinks no-one else can touch us for delivery. Yes there's faults in the company and the sometimes inefficient way we do things but Christ we have such a strong position out there and should be exploiting that. Instead of saying to other delivery company's "catch us if you can" we have CEO after CEO running s**t scared of crappy couriers with their crappy staff and trying to copy them. FFS try growing from a position of strength!!!!!

House I delivered to today had 2 Evri and an Amazon on the porch, clearly been there a day or two in the pouring rain. 739'd their packet and took it back to the relative safety (and dry) of the depot.
Leave it to rot none of our business. Let the customer know it wasnt you and you would never do that. A boot in the balls for the competition.
The way its going tho no be long b4 RM doing the drop and run like the rest of em

Agree totally.
Our only problem, is the years of mismanagement, lack of investment and being far too slow to take up new technologies.
That’s what makes attacking us posties and our conditions more than disgusting.
It’s a cheap, quick and short term fix which will, I think come back to bite them. Why would you want to drop your standards and become another Evri?!
Why not Build a reputation so nobody even thinks to use another courier. They talk about the need to compete but all they’re doing is giving up an already significant lead.

I can no longer cope with hearing myself say this to anyone who will listen whenever RM is raised in a conversation.
Thing is people do like timed deliveries and being able to see how many calls the driver has until they get to your house .
How do we compete with that ?
Some of our tracked customers are getting in time texts giving them times when we are likely to arrive, I think they must be linked to the gps in our scanners. The thing is nobody informs us of this, so if I decide to do my loops differently or take my break these times go out the window.

Absolutely ALL of this. Hermes changed their name to Evri because of their bad reputation, yet Simple Simon wants us to drop to their level.
