“For anyone who hasn't taken all of their NRA60/65 benefits, there is the option to transfer out the RMPP element. Which is benefits accrued from 1st April 2012 onwards.
Any transfer has to be into a defined contribution pension, which you could then drawdown or take it all as cash. Bearing in mind the tax implications!”
Out of interest has anyone actually done a successful transfer of their RMPP benefits into a DC scheme.?
This is something I would consider doing at 55+ if the transfers value is decent. I got a quote last year of £130k transfer value for giving up around 3.5k in annual pension benefits.
I am going to get a new transfer value next month and I think the value will have dropped. I will update the forum on what figures I get.
