Good evening all, I have found myself a new job and getting myself out of royal mail before it brings me down anymore, I am just wondering how much notice i have got to give ? I have been their a little over 2 years.

The notice period changed a few years ago so to be certain you would need to check your original contract. But as far as I remember its 1 month, older contracts have a 1 week notice period.

On the 1 week per year, that's the notice Royal Mail has to give you to terminate your contract. Also, that's rule of thumb and may not be accurate, a check of your contract would confirm what the actual details are.

My understanding is it’s one week if employed before October 2015 and 4 weeks if employed after October 2015

If RM are giving you notice, it should be 1 week for each year of service, up to a maximum of 12 weeks.
