Incorrect weight items

I regularly get items to deliver with the incorrect weight stated, mostly tracked. For example it will say 737g but weights over 3kg. There's some scales next to me.. Its the ones that are kilograms over that annoy me.
No one knows what to do, I've put red X's and labelled the items overweight but they come back again with no explanation.?

Even if they had paid the correct postage (which i assume they're sending their items cheaply) it shouldn't have the wrong weight stated on it??

Do I have to deliver these or should they be flagged up. Somehow under revenue protection?

Took some to RP one day, they didn't want to know so now we just sort them

Tracked customers have a flatrate contract with RM and all their tracked 48 shipments are charged at the same price regardless of the weight declared on the label - please see below explanation summarising how this service works

• All tracked products are profile priced which means customers pay a set price based on the average weight/size of items they send; this means various sizes/weights will be seen in the network.

• Labels generally show default weights and are not accurate to the profile set up for customers.

The Revenue Protection Team have set-up a new email address RPUK@royalmail.com which is designed to provide any RM employee to raise any revenue concerns they may have or have identified and require additional support to understand the process they need to follow or understand what processes are already in place to cover some of these revenue concerns RM employees identify.

Take a pic of the items and send them to the email.

Cheers. In summary i guess that means just deliver the tracked items whatever it weighs at whatever cost. as its all about big contracts and targets etc.
