Its exactly what simon wants.our managers dont give a damn about the job either and we cant get any help from them whatsoever.finding another job as an unskilled worker that pays the same might be tricky though as we all seem to need more money to survive.its a real shame because i have been in the job 25 years and have always enjoyed the excerise and nice customers

I’m getting even closer to leaving, even a week ago I thought I might hold on for another year but day by day it’s getting worse. Shambolic management decisions yesterday which will mean come this Friday a round in my DO won’t have been cleared in full for the best part of 2 weeks. That’s nearly 2 weeks that some mail has sat in the frame.

I spent my break today looking for part time jobs.

As a long server for me the job has slowly gone down hill over the last 10 years. Like a lot of others have said it’s great when your delivering and have the time to complete but it’s getting harder. We were taken advantage of during the covid years under the guise of being key workers.The hard work we put has been completely forgotten.Such a shame because it was a brilliant job for so long.

That’s what I do, I simply ask my line manager what she wants me to take. I’ve had one day where I’ve done overtime in the last 6 months, rest of the time I worked to time which I’ll contribute to do.

It’s when they are questioning my performance that it irks me.

Just to clarify - the last time the entire round was delivered resulting in an empty frame was almost 2 weeks ago. There are some items in that frame (none 1st/2nd class items, so things like catalogues, clubcard statements) which have sat in that frame for almost 2 weeks.

Next year will probably be the worst year for active in thier royal mail career. i can see at least 30% every office staff leaving in some shape or form.

I believe if you are weekly paid its 1 week notice.

Phone HR back of pay slip they can send you your contract pay rise is already back dated with the 2% they imposed on you

I had a lump sum taken off early Sept as "- other payment", I assumed they had taken back the backdated 2%, will have to find out what it was deducted for hmm

We had a 'presumed' pay in the first 2% pay award where they estimated your pay. Then worked out properly what hrs you'd worked until end of August and adjusted the back pay (which was really forward pay), that was the amount in September you speak of.

All you guys leaving for another job illustrates just what an empty threat the 6000-10000 Redundancees is.

By that time next year I'm sure we'll have lost nearly that many through Natural Wastage.
