Christmas recruitment Ucheck

Post by TarrinaClayton »

I applied for a seasonal role back in September 17th, just wondering if anyone is having any problems. I worked here last year and it was definitely the highlight of my year. Ucheck is responding every 7-10 days and telling me something else is wrong. First it was my national insurance number, so i had to resend it.. 10 days later they responded to tell me my teachers letter was incorrect.. so I sent a new one and haven’t heard from them since.
My sister & friend i referred have both already got a job offer and i’m pretty bummed about it because I was really looking forward to working here, but I don’t think it’s going to happen. Any advice?

(There are no contact numbers or emails that I can find either)

Hi,

I personally didn't have any issue with the checking. My checks took about 9 days so I'd assume worst case scenario and that they had to restart every time they found an error. So if it hasn't been 9-10 days since you last sent in your document correction then I would wait until then. I sort of have a question of my own. You said your sister and friend had been offered jobs. I was wondering how many days there was between the document verification and the job offer as I am currently waiting at that stage.

Yeah it’s been 8 days since i sent the teachers letter to ucheck. I’m praying i receive a reply soon.. It took them a while to get the job offer, i think they were trying to sort out the shifts etc, I would say around a week?

I'm at the same stage. Checks all complete just waiting on shifts to be checked for availability. Iv been waiting around a week with no response just wondering how long youv been waiting since checks completed?

Thanks

Hopefully we all hear back soon 🤞

I take it my ucheck got lost somewhere, or they just didn’t check it. Well, better luck next year then 🥲

I did my application on 16th September, then they found an error on ucheck so I corrected it on 26th September. I then received an email on the 5th October saying

"Thank you for your recent application for one of our Seasonal Mail Sorter roles. We’re currently working through all the applications, so please don’t worry, we’ll be in touch shortly with a further update.

There’s no need to get in touch with us, however if you have any other queries please contact Royal Mail | meetandengage.com

Best Wishes

Royal Mail Christmas Recruitment Team"

I not sure what else to do atm tbh. Should I give up hope and take another job offer or wait?
