Stage Warning

Hello, I was off about two months ago for 14 days with a bad back and boss said it might trigger a stage 1. Two months later and he now want’s to issue that stage warning! Is this right after all this time?

14 day absence definitely triggers a stage one but surely that should begin the day you returned to work, I'd hope in this day it's an automated process rather than starting when your manager can get round to being arsed to do it, maybe someone else can confirm if that's the case, if not I'd recommend taking your rep in to the meeting with you to argue that it should have been dealt with efficiently when you returned to work.

It "should" have been dealt with in a timely fashion.
It "should" be backdated to the day it would have been issued.

You can argue the points (hopefully your rep will) but don't get bothered if things don't go your way.
It is a stage 1 prompt. It isn't the end of the world.

As a minimum when it is issued insist on it being back dated to your rtw date that will give you 2 months 'credit' of no absence.
