So basically it will be used to produce any crap figures RM want to use when trying to introduce annualised hours ? .... and the only Up Side that I could see in the original proposal .... Stopping "The Usual Suspects" from taking the piss and finishing early EVERYDAY ... can easily be bypassed by calling whatever it is "Agreed Overtime" FFS: Another great step for Royal Mail .... Another Nail in the Coffin of the Job!

To be honest I think the COM was thinking of ways he can get round it.
He's not stupid, and knows full well people won't do overtime unless they can make a bit of time out of it.
Basically his job will be made impossible if he can't make it work for everyone, including him.
It will be the usual- his superiors looking at data to add work, and him hiding all the data to ensure his office is cleared.
No amount of SISO will change that equation.

At some point I don't think your MC will be given a choice, you'll be made to use them. They get monitored by management above MCM level

At some point I don't think your MC will be given a choice, you'll be made to use them. They get monitored by management above MCM level
We do use them but still have to sign in an out ffs. as for being monitored i doubt it very much still people coming in late going home early an have'nt heard of anybody being disciplined.
I'm all for everyone SISO digitally but I think this could work in favour or against us depending on how everyone works within the office.
If you have an office of runners, people taking short cuts, not taking breaks, hours could be taken out of the office leading to job losses.
On the other hand you could have an office doing everything by the book, taking breaks, doing vehicle checks, not crossing over people's gardens and slowing down. I don't condone the last part but if they want to play that game of cat and mouse then the business better watch what there doing because there going to p*** a lot of people off.

Don't know about deliveries (but I'd expect it''ll end up being the same), RM are planning on bringing in individual performance standards
