Will be interesting to see what the staffing is like, wonder if we might end up walk sorting wave 1 and sorting wave 2 just to office level only to free up staff for the packets and Tracked. It's going to be down to if we have a block on OT and the use of casuals/agency

Snowed under, would appear that our agency staff / managers did FA over the last few days as the important stuff like shoes and hair curlers aka tracks were through the roof, guessing that none of that went out. I did go that extra mile for the upper management's bonus and clear 2 loops of mail and a few tracks, roll on for tomorrow, I might clear another 2 or 3 loops, but I don't want to commit myself

Strange isn't it...there was a time when a manager would move heaven and earth to get the frames cleared every day...offer you overtime, ask you to work you day off. Now they don't seem bothered that mail is getting left. All part of their plan probably to get rid of the USO and have us only taking mail out 4 times a week or less.

Yep. Not so long ago I'd accidentally leave one Tesco Clubcard in the frame and come back to a letter on my bench asking me to explain myself. Now I bring back entire shelves and they don't bat an eyelid.

As for today, it was incredibly busy. But a stress free day. I did as much work as I wanted then brought the rest back and claimed the O/T.

Tough day to start with as had lots to prep. Manager wasn’t bothered about us clearing the two frames, so just took part of one frame mail and packets and the remainder tracked only. Worked to my time, easy in the end.It will be more of the same tomorrow. Not going to break my back

Was driving past my office and saw a guy that normally finishes at 2.30 walking out at 5.30.

What is the point in losing money striking if these prats are doing OT?

Crazy busy in ours. Left plenty and finished right on time.
The only ones to come close to clearing their runs were those offered 2 hours early overtime - 1hr on IPS then 1hr on their own frame before starting.

Come in to four trays of mech, four bags of packets and 5 boxes of flats. Left half the frame in and just took the tracked packets. Some down my isle had taken everything out I just didn’t see the point.
